Realtime Live Performance Animation
For over 10 years Animazoo’s systems have been successfully employed in the field of live performance animation. Live animation can be an incredibly risky business - whether broadcasting live to millions or unveiling the latest product at a conference or exhibition there’s an awful lot at stake.
Animazoo mocap systems can be operated by one person. One operator can control the body, fingers, mouth, and facial morphs via the fingers. It’s lightweight and portable so it can be used on location, even outdoors. Whether you require a simple one-person job, more sophisticated multi-actor work, or interaction with your audience, our systems will do the job efficiently and affordably.
That’s why a host of household names across the world have chosen to work with Animazoo systems as they’re easy to use, accurate, portable and of course incredibly reliable.
Rai TV – live to air broadcast weekdays on children’s TV
The goal was to have Treddi, the character, talk live on the telephone with children at home who were watching the programme. The technical realities of broadcasting animation live to millions of viewers were not underestimated. Motion capture and realtime rendering were the technologies required, which, as complex technologies, carried considerable risks.
Animazoo’s products were successfully deployed and Treddi is now a famous household name among Italy’s young population.
Virtual Rome,
a fully immersive large scale virtual coliseum shot across an area the size of a basketball court in one continuous 3 minute take - a 'first' for motion capture technology. The showpiece for this event was a fight sequence performed by 2 actual gladiators, part of the Gladiator School in Rome. Two Gypsy Gyro 18s were used to capture data from these duels as well as provide data for the audience and crowd scenes.
Phillips & Nivea,
Paris, launched their Cool Skin razor to distribution channel partners and their sales team using Animazoo mocap. An android character was projected onto the conference room screen whilst mocapers worked behind the scenes to bring the conference to life.
