Motion capture can even be used to assist in psychology research. It provides researchers with the tools to assist with experiments in computerised behavioural research.

Psychology software chose Animazoo to assist with their plans to utilise virtual reality for research and medical purposes. Their project aimed to prepare reformed drug users for the dangers of re-entry into normal life. They did this by using incredibly lifelike virtual reality tools (including Animazoo’s gyro suit) to recreate their environment as well as preparing them for risk scenarios that they may encounter.

Motion capture has been invaluable in making characters believable, it adds touches where hand animation has no feel and is particularly good for when there is no action or movement. It was also fantastic for reactive capture and if they required additional data or changes, they simply put on the suit, capture the data and can have it back in the game in no time.

Feedback from users has been very positive and they have rated the experience on a scale at the highest rating.
